Film charity screenings

Producer Chan Mu-shing and director Kwan Shun-fai participated in the Easter Charity Carnival organised by the Children’s Dream Charity Foundation in mid-April last year, and realized that despite Hong Kong’s affluent city, the needs of grassroots families are often overlooked. Even if it is a movie, it can be a luxury for them to go to the movies as a family. Therefore, producer Chan Musheng and director Kwan Laixin hope to continue this film to convey a message of love and care to them, so that they can feel loved and harmonious.

In view of this, the two of them have teamed up with the Association and Universal Film to hold a charity film screening on 22 March with the full support of Gateway Cinemas, a subsidiary of Golden Harvest, for underprivileged families, and also provided them with 200 free tickets for the “Principal of Five Children”. Tickets have been distributed to the beneficiary families of the Hong Kong Christian Service so that they can watch the Grade 1 rated film for all ages free of charge. On the day of the event, Universal Film generously arranged transportation for these families. In order to make the movie more enjoyable, we also contacted a donor (a grain and oil supplier) to present a small heart blessing bag to the beneficiary families, hoping that they would all have a good time.
